So, the deluge of Christmas ads have hit our TV screens and with that, the competition between the big retailers to win over our hearts (and pennies) has begun. I don't fall for the sentimental manipulation and certainly wouldn't shop at a particular store just because they pulled off a great Christmas advert BUT I must admit I do enjoy them, and as we're already well and truly into November with Christmas on our minds by this point anyway, they haven't come offensively early!
I much prefer sentimental adverts over those simply showcasing their wares, and I think it's pretty fair to say that the nation's favourite this year is that by John Lewis; The Bear And The Hare.
As sweet as the advert is, I'm just completely blown away to find out that it was created using stop motion animation! Check out this video courtesy of Huffington Post, showing behind the scenes of the making of the advert.
To me, this is even more touching than the advert itself! Such AMAZING creative vision and hard work by all the people involved and a real joy to watch.
